Some near end of Summer updates!

Yeah, it’s time for a little near end of summer update for you here. And, a little something else as well.

First, let’s get the something else out of the way.

Stream Ripping. Alright, let me just say not cool. What is stream ripping you ask? Well, stream ripping is basically streaming another station’s feed onto their station (or recording it for future playback) without the other station’s permission. I’ve had it happen on Rockin WAVES a couple of times and I had to either ban the IP or the user agent. So, here’s the thing. If you want to air any of the shows on Rockin WAVES, you need to contact the DJ’s in question. Not just go willy-nilly and record it without our knowledge. That’s just not cool and it makes you look like a douche in the end.

Alright, with that out of the way, ONTO THE UPDATES!

For those who are wondering what happened to Ringside Wrestling and the Tommy B Show, Tommy B has decided to end his shows and go out on his own. We respect his decision and we wish him the best of luck in his future endeavors and we thank him for the awesome shows he has done on Rockin WAVES.

Also, 80s Night with Mike Ward is MOVING to a different time and day. As of this post, a time and day hasn’t been decided but we will let you know ASAP.

Finally, September is upon us, and with September coming, that also means the Summer of Rockin’ is about to come to an end. We will be giving the Summer of Rockin’ 2019 a fun farewell with a special live broadcast on Sunday, September 1st beginning at 8 PM (hopefully). That also means a couple of minor changes this week on Rockin WAVES.

We will be pre-empting the 2nd hour of the Doo-Wop Vault and part of the AT40 Time Machine. For this week (September 1st), the AT40 Time Machine will air in it’s entirety beginning at 10 PM this Sunday (one hour later), then at 1:30 AM, we will air the 2nd hour of the Doo-Wop Vault.

We want to thank everyone for their great support this summer on the Summer of Rockin’ 2019. It’s a summer that will definitely not be forgotten!

Anyways, that does it for the update. Thanks for listening and as always, keep on rockin!
